New VCE English Teachers' Day 2026

THE ENGLISH LAB will begin 2026 with a teacher training day for new or returning VCE teachers – or even those that want to freshen up their perspective on the study design and how to teach it best. The day will centre around the essential skills of each area of study, particularly Creating Texts.Teachers will be provided with: 

• Templates for engaging and effective resources.

• Strategies for connecting with students and ensuring that each class is focused on necessary skills.

• Samples of student work to use as exemplars in the classroom.

As with all professional development run by the English Lab, we see this as an initial step towards working further with teachers in the future. Teachers who register for the workshop will be able to contact Ben throughout their journey of teaching VCE English in 2026 for support, advice and guidance.
