Six Weeks Out - Exam Preparation Booklet
Six Weeks Out is a brand-new exam preparation program from The English Lab, designed to take students from supported revision through to confident, independent writing under exam conditions.
Across Sections A, B and C, students complete a carefully sequenced series of activities over six weeks. Early tasks provide substantial guidance; breaking skills down, supplying evidence and ideas, and providing planning structures and models. As the weeks progress, that support is deliberately removed until students are planning and writing independently under full exam conditions.
We've written your exam revision for you!
Rather than piecing together past questions, worksheets, planning activities and sample responses, Six Weeks Out brings everything together in one student-friendly booklet.
Throughout the program, students will encounter:
VCAA and English Lab exam-style questions
structured planning activities
worked examples and sample plans
sample responses to learn from
Section B titles and stimulus material
guided Section C annotation and analysis
dedicated space to plan and write
timed activities that gradually move towards exam conditions
What am I purchasing?
Your purchase is for a digital PDF file, supplied to your school for you to download and print for students within your school.
All Six Weeks Out documents will be emailed to purchasing schools on September 10.
Important information about Section A texts
Due to insufficient demand, we have unfortunately been unable to produce Six Weeks Out Section A materials for the following texts:
We Come With This Place
Requiem for a Beast
David Malouf, The Complete Stories
Ghost Wall
Jane Eyre
My Brilliant Career
We're sorry that we aren't able to offer these texts as part of the program this year. However, schools studying one of these texts can still purchase Six Weeks Out. We are able to provide a booklet containing Section A activities for your other selected text only, alongside the complete Section B and Section C programs.
